1. WHAT IS THE ACCOMMODATION?

We can arrange for accommodation and the price ranges from USD 70 USD – USD 250 depending upon the area and facilities.

2. CAN MY PARENT VISIT ME? CAN I TRAVEL IN MY HOLIDAYS OR STAY BACK?

Parents / friends / relatives of students can visit you. Tourist Invitations can be issued.

3. HOW ARE LIVING CONDITIONS? IS IT SAFE? LOCAL GUARDIAN?

All countries where students go are safe. There is good law, order and security in place. That is why International Students go there. There are students from Nigeria, Pakistani, India and many other countries. Students have a comfortable and pleasant stay.

4. HOW TO TRANSFER MONEY FROM NIGERIA, PAKISTAN, INDIA? CAN I OPEN A BANK ACCOUNT OVERSEAS?

You are allowed to carry up to 10,000 $ in Cash as per hand baggage rules. Have it endorsed in your passport.

5. WHAT IS THE MEDIUM OF INSTRUCTION IN CLASS – ENGLISH OR LOCAL LANGUAGE?

For international students, the medium of Instruction is ENGLISH.

6. CAN I DO POST GRADUATION OVERSEAS? AND PRACTICE IN INDIA?

YES. After your MBBS, you can pursue PG overseas. Inquire for availability of specific courses. Some PG courses are offered in English Medium and some in local language. Each PG course takes 2 to 3 years for completion. After your PG – you need to comply with guidelines of the country where you wish to work in. In India – there are no rules for Doctors with an overseas PG degree; so they do private practice and not Govt. practice.

7. WHAT IS THE “WORLD HEALTH ORGANIZATION” (WHO) AND WHO DIRECTORY?

The World Health Organization (WHO) is an international body. Recognizing Medical Institute by the Government of an individual country and not the WHO. The WHO does publish a “Directory of Medical Institutes”, which is a list of Medical Colleges given to it the Government of each Country. There is NO System of ranking by the WHO as claimed by some agents.

8. IS THERE ANY SCHOLARSHIP OR GRANT AVAILABLE FOR FOREIGN STUDENTS?

The education abroad is highly subsidized by the Government. Therefore there are no separate scholarships or grants available from individual universities. However, bank loans are now available from all nationalized, co-operative and the private sector banks. These loans are available at very low interest and are generally repaid in easy installments, one year after the completion of the educational period.

9. DOES THE STUDENT HAVE TO GIVE ANY ENTRANCE EXAMINATION FOR JOINING THE UNIVERSITY IN MEDICAL ABROAD?

NO. Student does not have to appear for any entrance examination. The admissions are based on the 12th standard marks. All admissions are strictly on a first come first served basis.

10. WHAT DOES IT COST TO STUDY MEDICINE IN ABROAD?

Tuition fees are presently at USD 3000 to USD 4000 per year for international students for the bachelor of medicine programs. Yes it is one of the most affordable medical tuition fees you can find anywhere on our planet today at a legitimate medical university.

11. CAN I TRANSFER FROM ANOTHER UNIVERSITY?

Yes. Medical courses abroad are part of the ECTS (European Credit Transfer and Accumulation System) as well as Socrates programs. If your previous studies were similar to the program at the applied university, it is possible for you to get placed into an advanced year.

12. ARE THERE PROGRAMS OTHER THAN BACHELOR OF MEDICINE IN ENGLISH?

Yes. We can place candidates in Dentistry and Pharmacy as well. The Dentistry program is 6 years and Pharmacy is 5 years in duration.
